Kathy Curtis, is originally from Michigan…and no, not Detroit, a little further north…you know way up there by Canada! The Upper Peninsula, Marquette to be exact! Where the snow is plentiful and the winds blow temperatures to the negative off Lake Superior! However, she did find her way down south and happened upon radio while attending school in search of a business degree. She’s worked for many of Tampa Bay’s most prominent radio stations. She found her love for Smooth Jazz while working for the WAVE 102.5 in the 80’s, and since then it’s been a passion!

You can hear Kathy on The Smooth Ride to Work, weekdays 6am-10am. During the week she also serves as the station's Programming Coordinator and Music Director. She assists Program Director Ross Block with many of the stations day to day operations and is responsible for hiring many of the national recording artists who come to town and play station concerts. "The best part of my job is working with some of the best talent on the air and some of the most important musicians of our time...I can’t imagine doing anything else."
