Smooth Ride to Work
Weekdays 6am-10am

Chris Curley has 20-plus years experience in radio and makes your long extended Smooth Jazz sets just right! Chris has been in love with radio as well as TV since a teenager and worked toward a Communication degree in St. Louis, Missouri. He has a vast collection of both old and new radios at home and when on vacation, always carries a couple radios along with radio station guides to check out the different stations and formats across the country and around the world. Chris can recite call letters by the hour and can probably tell you about your radio stations where you used to live. He has worked at stations in St. Louis, Denver, Corpus Christi, Sarasota, and Tampa Bay. In July 1994, when WSJT was not on the air, Chris got the opportunity to come aboard Paxson Communications and work with WSJT’s sister station 570 WHNZ and 102.5 The POINT. He was getting his foot in the door to become part of the "Team". Once WSJT hit the ground running July of 1995, Chris worked part time and swing shifts until the full time nod. He loves the staff and says they feel just like family! He enjoys talking jazz with listeners at concerts and giving away tickets. He’s happy to turn on WSJT, work in his yard and sip a glass of the cold stuff during his off time...just like you! Chris currently provides the most up to date news, and along with Kathy Curtis brings you the Entertainment Minute on the Smooth Ride To Work, Weekdays 6am-10am. |
